Land Style Part Two

Hi All,

My Landraider is progressing slowly, I have built the main chassis, and now have blue tacked the sponson weapons into place until they are painted and then I will of course magnetise them.

Next is the front view, as I mentioned in my last post, Mt assault ramp is missing, lost in time. So I have started to fashion a new one.

After about 6 hours of curing, this green-stuff was still flexible enough so I could practise fit it. 

Not sure if my green ramp looks quite right? What do you think?

After the practise fit, I found it sagged in the middle, enter the reinforcement of sprue.

So with the practise fit underway, the width of my green-stuff ramp is correct, the height however needs work. But that will have to wait a bit.

I still need to assemble my lascannons and heavy bolter sponsons, but they can wait a bit, I am way behind in my painting vow in B&C Here.

Kit bashing Space marine Captain.

Hello all.

I completed this captain a while ago, but never got around to sharing him.With out further ado my kit bashed captain of the 6th Company.

Parts have come from various plastic kits.

All these combine to make my own captain.

Again the photos are not the best, but eventually, when i am no longer a Uni student i will have the resources to organise a light box.

Dorns wolves reinforcements

Holidays are simply the best thing in the World, being able to indulge in my hobby is the cherry on top. That is not to say that I have not been painting rooms in my house or gardening or reading, well you get the gist of what I am getting at.

So anyway, whilst sorting through my bits box today, I was looking for bolter arms for my tactical marines to finish them. Inspiration struck I started to put aside bits and before I knew it, this happened.

Presenting Brother Chaplain - Heredulic, keeper of the faith attached to the 6th company.

I did not intend to actually to this today, but he just sort of happened, as such I have no individual pictures of his parts, but here is the list.

Here are some different views, the lighting is not the best, and his jump pack is not glues on, I intend to paint them separate.

Reclaimed rhino Stage 1- The trimming.

Hello all,

Today I am showing you my reclaimed rhino, that I am going to use in my death guard army.

Here is how I got it many years ago, it came stripped of paint with tabs and mold lines still on it. And it lingered in this form until June this year.

The rhino on the right, This is how it looked when I got it.

As you can see the headlights are in a non standard position. Luckily for me, it was assembled with super glue instead of plastic glue, so with a bit of effort I was able to deconstruct it.

After an evening of cleaning the mold lines and trimming tabs that were still on it, from when it was cut off the sprue, I arrived at this stage.

Next step is to re assemble it and convert it for the Death Guard.

Kitbashing Ferastella my Gladelady of the Ashenhalls.

This is Ferastella-  Glade lady of the Ashen-halls.

And this is how I made her, unlike the ASB that I kit-bashed for something different, the current wood elves range only has one mounted hero and that is male, I wanted mine to be female so that meant another project.

Parts to make Ferastella

From Glade riders sprue
Elven steed  no 4,Legs torso with boobs, cloak with gems and leaves.left sword arm(sword trimmed) and right sword arm

From Wild riders sisters of the thorn
Wildrider champion head and  2 part hair

From eternal guard wildwood rangers
Shield with gem, and glyph that can be puttied over to make own glyph or something else.

Old wild riders metal.
Metal horse head because i wanted something different.

And here she is all ready for her showing at Axemaster.

I like the look of the Silver armor for my elves.

Shield just needs a unique design when i build up the courage.

Kitbashing my Wood Elves ASB on foot.

In an effort to make my army mine in a sense unique, I decided to Kit-bash my own version of the Army standard bearer.
This Glade captain was made with the following parts and I intend to use the same parts again when a mounted version is made so that the two are interchangeable, at least appearance wise.

To start with as an aid I have include a picture and a description of the various parts i used from which wood elves boxes i obtained them from.

As you may have noticed the head is different as the original one I planned to use as the original did not provide the feel/look/vibe  to the figure as I had hoped, and the spite was removed as well becauseI felt it made the base too busy.
